Display of Scanned Copies of OMR Sheets of Sainik School Exam
- National Testing Agency (NTA) displays the scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets and recorded responses by the machine, of all the candidates who appeared in All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE).
- Exact date of display of scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets, are communicated after the AISSEE examination on NTA website.
- Applicants are given an opportunity to submit representation, online, against the OMR grading by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 100/- per question challenged.
- Representations made by the candidates against the OMR or AISSEE Exam grading will be verified by the NTA from the actual record and the same will be updated in the data, if challenges are found to be correct. However, no intimation in this regard will be sent to individual candidate.
- Applicants are advised to visit website Official NTA Website for AISSEE for viewing and downloading image of OMR Answer Sheet by the candidates.
Display of Official Answer Key of AISSEE Exam by NTA
- The NTA displays provisional Answer Key of the questions, giving an opportunity to the candidates to challenge, in case of any doubt in the answer key on the official AISSEE website .
- For exact date of display of official Answer Key of AISSEE Exam, candidates should regularly check updates on NTA website after the examination.
- Candidates are given an opportunity to make online challenge, within a specified period, against the provisional Answer Key of AISSEE on payment of non-refundable processing fee of Rs.200/-per answer challenged.
- Challenges made by the candidates are verified by the National Testing Agency (NTA) with the help of panel of subject experts. If found correct, the answer key of AISSEE Exam will be revised accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, result will be prepared and declared.
- No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge
- The key of AISSEE Exam finalized after the challenge will be final.
Evaluation and Exception Handling Criteria for AISSEE Exam
- There is no negative marking in All-India Sainik School Entrance Exam.
- On examining of the representations by the subject experts, if it is found that more than one options are correct, then marks are awarded to all those candidates who have attempted anyone of the correct options.
- If all options are found to be correct Full marks to be awarded to all students, who have attempted the question.
- If none of the options is correct/Question is found to be wrong, All students who appeared in the AISSEE exam would be awarded full marks.
- The machine-gradable Answer Sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinized.
- There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets. No correspondence in this regard is entertained.
Qualifying Criteria for All-India Sainik School Entrance Exam
- In order to be eligible for admission to Sainik School for a particular academic year in case of General, OBC (NCL) and Defence/ex-servicemen category, it is necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each section/subject and an aggregate of 40% marks in the AISSEE.
- However, in respect of candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes the minimum marks criteria shall not apply.
- In order to be eligible for admission to approved New Sainik School for a particular academic year, it is necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each section/subject and an aggregate of 40% marks in the AISSEE, irrespective of category.
Result and Merit List of AISSEE
- Result of AISSEE is declared within 06 weeks after exam.
- Results is published by NTA on its website. It is also published on the website of the respective schools.
- Candidates are informed through email and SMS about it. Therefore, candidates are advised not to call the NTA Help Desk or the concerned school to find out about the date or the results.
- NTA prepares the Sainik School result sheet in the format/s required by Sainik Schools Society.
- School-wise and category-wise merit list (separately for boys and girls and for Class 6 and Class 9).
- All India Merit List for admission to approved New Sainik Schools for admission under 40% route.
- School-wise Merit List for admission to approved New Sainik Schools for admission under 60% route for admission to each of the approved New Sainik schools
- The admission of candidates to existing 33 Sainik schools as well as approved New Sainik schools (under the 40% route and 60% route) are carried out on the basis of e-counseling as per the merit in AISSEE Exam.
- Candidates are required to register on separate portal provided by NTA for e-counseling of AISSEE post declaration of results by NTA. The admission of cadets are done through E-Counselling.
- The Final Merit List, published by a Sainik School on its website on the designated date after the Medical Exam, includes class-wise and category-wise roll numbers of candidates, in the order of their merit, reflecting Main List (equal to total number of seats in the category) and Waiting List (remaining candidates).
- If the Waiting List of the Final Merit List is exhausted for any reason, including due to the candidates being medically unfit, or non-submission of requisite documents during verification at the time of admission or candidates not joining due to personal reasons, the balance seats are filled up as per the norms laid down for allotting unfilled seats under different categories.
- Scoring passing marks or being in the Waiting List does not assure candidates of admission in Sainik School which is based on school-wise, class-wise and category-wise vacancies and merit, subject to medical fitness.
- The validity of the result of AISSEE is only for the that particular admission year for Class 6 and Class 9 and cannot be carried forwarded for the next session of admission.
Rules for a tie-breaker incase two students secure same marks in AISSEE Exam
- In case the total marks scored by two or more candidates in AISSEE are equal, the inter-se merit is determined as follows:
- Marks obtained in the written exam will determine his/her position in the Final Merit List.
- In case there is a tie with regard to overall marks, the marks for individual subjects/factors will be considered in the following order of priority: –
